Debit Card Skimming

 Recently the Preston County Sheriff's Office has received several complaints that their debit card accounts have been accessed without their knowledge or permission. To date, the common themes in this are they used a debit card at a Walmart in Morgantown and then unauthorized charges occurred in other locations. If you notice unauthorized charges on your debit or credit cards, we encourage you to contact your bank or credit card agency immediately. These crimes have occurred outside the jurisdiction of the Preston County Sheriff's Office.
